General Sheet Metal processing
The applications in general sheet and tube processing are by nature very manifold. They cover dedicated sheet processing systems for the production of storage facilities building lamp shades to highly flexible sheet processing machines when tooling needs to be changed frequently. Therefore in these applications double sheet detection systems for demanding automation requirements such as R1000 are present just as the low cost R100 series depending on the type of machine used.
Destacker
Contact free lateral double sheet control monitors a stack of blanks. The sensor AA90 is mounted laterally, and monitors the blank during the lifting process.
The loading process is interrupted only if more than one layer is recognized. Advantages upon tactile systems: no stop necessary, therefore no time delay, contact free and wear-free. No time consuming mechanical adjustment necessary.
The sensor supplies a 4… 20 mA analog signal which may be evaluated by a PLC. Digital switching signals (0, 1, 2 sheet metal) can be produced with the control unit XA100, if an evaluation is not desired with the PLC.

Sheet blanks
The non-contacting single side double sheet control sensor monitors the
sheet blanks on the reference table.
The sensor AA150 is mounted on the side and monitors the blanks at referencing / nulling. Also applicable directly on the support or centering table. The process is only interrupted if more than one sheet is detected.
Advantages compared to tactile systems are: no stopping, therefore no cycle time loss. Contactless and wear-free application. The measurement is applicable.
dynamical or statical. Time-intensive mechanical adjustment is no longer required.

Bending cell
Double sheet control during robot loading and sheet manipulation in a bending cell/press brake. Cost-effective double sheet detector system I100 (planned C100) with a pair of sensors and S75S/E75S. After destacking the blank the robot passes the sheet through the sensor gap before starting the bending operations.
Robot Loader
Based on its design this robot loader is suitable for presenting sheets to a wide variety of sheet processing machines. The exchangeable tooling makes it possible to use the robot for a wide spectrum of materials and sheet thicknesses. In this case, the customer decided to mount the sensor next to a suction cup.
